I am a Year 6 student at Papakura Central School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Kahikatea Hub and my teachers are Whaea Sharlee and Whaea Tamzin. This is a place where I will share my learning. Please note that some of it will not be complete, it will be my first draft. Remember to be positive, thoughtful and helpful when you leave me a comment.

What do I see?
What do I see?
I see the clear blue water ripng onto the shore.
What do I see?
I see the big city and its huge buildings.
What do I see?
I see the tall narrow sky tower.
What do I see?
I see the big boats near the shore ready to propel forward.
What do i see?
I see tons of fish below the sparkling water.
What do i see?
I see the big sandy islands getting closer as i propel forward on my small boat

The lockdown was usual enough
The lockdown was usual enough it had empty shelves, empty streets, people having there lights on until late and all the plants dieing in the garden. Me and my family did what people do wear a mask, wear some gloves, go to a restaraunt for a takeaway, watch the news and beat my dad in sparring doing nothing important

My lockdown reflection
In lockdown it was a very hard experience for me I learnt that i can be lazy and not do anything for the whole day. I need something to do or i can just sit on the couch all day or play games. I learnt i do better with something to do. My family work very hard i learnt how hard my dad and mums work are. I learnt that my dad is a essential worker because if he leaves something like the furnace alone it may blow up. My mum normally is in meetings she is talking to clients all the time and trying to fix there problems my mum just works from home so i'm not happy that my mum and dad don't get a break from work cause they work really really hard. My community and people are always trying to have a chat sometimes I see my neighbour playing on the road which is good cause it means there active n level three my dad and all the otter people on the street had a big chat about some stuff because my dad likes talking he went. I think New Zealand did a good job containing the covid-19 we had a lot of food to eat still but sometimes we ran out of a few thing cause some people panic when they didn't have to they could of just bought food normally and bought other things normally to. But they would get restocked so it would be fine for everyone. I learnt that New Zealand respects there country and there leader because they listened to their orders pretty good cause where here in level two that means we did a good job listening to our leader and what she said. People were very respectful to the rules. Im very thankful to the people that stayed inside and the nurses who stayed working hard and protected the people who got sick. People had travelled to get stuck in another country they spent there money for nothing but to stay home or you having a short holiday covid-19 has done alot to people it has ruined there fun times going out in level four we weren't able to go outside which made me very sad.
